The Battle of New Orleans was on Jan 8th, 1815. 18 days after the treaty that ended the war of 1812 was signed.

Yes, but it had tremendous implications. Had the British won and occupied New Orleans, the treaty would have allowed them to retain the territory. This would have had tremendous historical implications.
