Remember Bo Diddley had Brian Jones and a couple of other Stones backing him on Saturday Club on a Saturday morning in the days when there were restrictions on how many musicians could come over here to back singers. The Stones were just starting to breakthrough and were overawed to be asked.

I know you didn't put original on, and it may refer to it being Aretha's original version,of it, but here is the original which I like to play very loudly.

Yeah, but Otis' version is more 'usual'. I just got a 5-CD Aretha (Atlantic) box and fancied that. Either version benefits from being played LOUD.
Always preferred Otis's version of it. There again I preferred Otis doing anything.
In a few weeks it will be fifty years since this was recorded. I know someone who was there. The jammy bastard was also in the Marquee Club when they recorded that classic London Swings at the Marquee club with Jimmy James and the Vagabonds along with the Alan Brown Set.
