Abu- quality midfielder. Had him on a short term loan from man city <ok>.

As for my game? Bloody FM. 4th season in and about to kick start my second season in the prem. I addressed my defence by signing 2 players who had 4 and a half stars in future potential (boyata and Savic from citeh), but anytime I get to my second game of the season, it crashes at the exact same point. Tried everything to get beyond it, with no luck.

So I've started with spurs for one season. Just want to get a few of the achievements like win the English league. I will then look to start in league 2 of BSP next time. I love and hate FM.

I always used to start with Welling, the fact that I used to start off with a overdraft and no money to spend made it all the better. Last time with Welling I won BSS and BSP in my first two season and had £1.5m in the bank because of my trading of players and good cup runs. Problem was that Charlton would never apppoint me for some reason?

Jon, it's not the fact where you get the money from but the fact that you make the game much easier for yourself by cheating a large bank balance at your club <ok>

Anyone who has played the game for a while will certainly be aware of how to add managers and utilize other clubs funds - I'll admit in the past (not for a long while now) I've done similar things. I thought in the latest games they had made this impossible as the board has the power to veto unrealistic transfers (or sometimes just some that it thinks aren't beneficial to the club), I just think personally it takes most of the challenge out of managing lower clubs - and a lot of the enjoyment of the game!

Super Abu looked like he would be class, I signed him to play as DM but he got a couple of medium length injuries (so I signed Scharner) and was looking for Abu to be a long term superstar - but the cash was a little too good to turn down (and I think I needed it at the time). I signed a few more players for the future (in the summer and January) including Ben Gordon (Chelsea, LB), Kane Hemmings (Rangers Striker), Joan Roman (City, cm), Loris Karius (City, GK), Ben Mee (City CB) and Danny Drinkwater (Man U, cm) all for a combined total of 35K! So the future is bright (as long as my game doesn't go the same way as Supers!).

Sorry to hear that super, used to be a problem I had far too often on the previous version. All I could do to counter it was have lots of rolling saves and hope that one of them was before the corruption.

Anyway half way into my second season now, ended up getting promoted in my first as champions and currently 4th in the championship after 26 games alterating formations home and away Soukouna is still going strong with 15 goals so far this season, Hanley (loan) has been a rock at the back and Shotton is none too shabby. Still got a few Charlton boys left, BWP, Morro/Solly and Waggy are the only regulars tho. Cousins is out on loan but will be back on the fringe when he returns.

31 games now and up to second, just realised I've won the last 11 in the league and the last 5 (6 including cup) without conceeding. hope this doesn't put the mockers on it!

Gained promotion to the premier league, came second on 90 points, four below norwich and 1 above leicester sealing promotion on the final day of the season with a 5-0 thumping of leeds at home. Feeling good right now! Did it on the second lowest wage budget aswell. Soukouna and BWP 2nd and 3rd in the goals while Hanely (loan) scooped the young player of the year. Man this games like crack, hows everyoneone else doing?

Well I just finished a slightly disappointing first season in the championship (in 12th place) but it was a season ruined by injuries to strikers and CB's which made everything quite difficult. Just got my budgets for next year and I have to say I'm a little disappointed that I wont get any more than 50k to spend! To that end I just agreed to sell Scharner to Burnley for 400k (also to get him of the wage budget which is also tight).

Conundrum though: Stoke have offered me the chance to be their manager (not very glamorous I know) but after delaying the decision for a week they came back and offered me a 20m transfer budget which is appealing! anyway I have to go to rugby so I saved the game to put off making a decision for now. Anyway what do you guys think? Should I stay or should I go?

Hmm- tough call about stoke. I think the 50k budget is too low, do have a look at stokes squad and see what areas a weak. Then have a look on the transfer list and see if you can get goo players for cheap (vela, essien) etc.. If so then take the job. Most of the fun in the game is the transfer market- taking that away from you becomes frustrating more than anything.

South, give the board an ultimatum of increasing transfer budget or you'll go. That may make the decision for you <ok>

So you mean I'm not the manager of tottenham? Wondered why Clive Allen wouldn't shake my hand and I got escorted from the training ground.

My St Mirren game is nearing the end of the first season, 3 games before the league splits in 2, I'm 3rd, only 3 points behind Rangers who have been dropping points all season, Celtic rampant. Lowest I'll finish is 5th so Europe next season, preferably Champs League :)

Used none of Acworth's cheats, just the old Kevin Keegan method of score one more than your opponent, Jimmy Floyd's nephew is a striker at St Mirren and he's been on top form, 21 goals so far in the league. Another great player for me is Joe Mckee (on loan from Burnley), has free kicks and penalties of 20, always a threat when he's on the pitch. Leaking goals like a sieve though, 2 centre backs in the summer would be nice, funds are tight though.
