But spoilt a bit, though, seeing Vaughan
Limp off, as if something was torn,
Perhaps one fine day

Who can blame him for looking forlorn
And I must say, after they scored
I was fearing a penalty award,
Just to rub it in
And prevent a win
That it didn´t come, we should applaud
Each and every one once again
Did his bit, even when down to ten,
To ensure we held
Firm, right to the bell
Our lads are fast growing into men
No-one deserved these three points more
Than Bennett E. who made a score,
Flying on song
He was all night long
He´s one who could become top-drawer
And Morison lead the line well
So Holty may just get a spell,

So although the Cats came to play
The Canaries kept flapping away,
And taunted and teased
