Flyer....?

Sad that these 'threats' made him leave, I'd personally front up anyone who tried it with me. I can't abide bullying in any area...
 
I was guesting (because being 5 hours behind you, I'm still at work - but I did want to say that where and when I may have disagreed with him, I did consider his comments to be very worthwhile.

I hope he returns
 
I always maintained a good rapport with Flyer and recently enjoyed sharing quite a few of the World Cup match threads in which he actively participated, especially with the ever present diving theme.

Also, even though I do not actively follow ice hockey (some would say a crime living in Canada), I enjoyed some good banter with Flyer on this topic.

I would really like to to see Flyer back with us for upcoming season and I have missed his views during the transfer window build-up.

As Beth has alluded to, if a member here has abused Flyer with some cheap PM shots, I would like to see some sort of mod investigation, and if it is proven that there is a guilty party, for that person to spend some time in the penalty box or perhaps stocks erected outside the C&S.

One day I would relish a return trip to Loftus Road and to share a pre-match beer with fellow posters, including Flyer, at the C&S.

Flyer certainly had some strong views on R's management style and player selections and transfers, in particular HR and older players, but I'm sure that if you were to examine his past posts he never abused any fellow posters on a personal level.

Flyer was bang on the money most of the time

He is a passionate knowledgeable QPR supporter who knows his football and we had a good laugh watching us play Newcastle together ... he was miles ahead of the fans that surrounded us who were just interested in slagging off Bosingwa who was being targeted. Green ****ed up yet the fans blamed Bosingwa. he saw it instantly and was always fair.
He/We saw holes in the play instantly.
He knows his football 100% He knows his QPR

The truth is I got him hooked up with a pair of Russian girls ... let him have a rest
 
Interesting thread. I didn't notice all of this love and respect for Flyer when he was posting, except from DT and Beth. What he said on football was often correct but he said it in such an "I'm right you're wrong" way that it never encouraged dialogue, and he would never retract/ change his mind. I enjoyed challenging his 'statements of fact' type posts, especially the OT ones. He never responded of course because he had me on ignore. Recently he claimed Fernandes had a history of lying on social media. I and others asked him to back it up, no response. And his 'the CIA did it' OT conspiracy theories were hilarious.

Interesting character, but sometimes an overbearing and repetitive presence on here. Takes all sorts, but I don't particularly miss him, which means I'm not one of the 'decent' ones I suppose. And it may just be that his absence will be good for his inner harmony.

It's irrelevant whether you agree or disagree with him Stan, you don't even have to like him either. My point about 'decent' people on here was aimed at the one or two that had issued threats. Everyone has an opinion and should be allowed to express it, it makes this place a bit livelier...

Fair enough Sooper, and totally agree with freedom of expression. Clearly he would be welcome back as would any R's fan. But it would be hypocritical of me to say I miss him or I care either way if he posts or not.

There are plenty on here I would genuinely miss, including our three (justly) banned colleagues, who I hope rejoin the fray refreshed when the drawbridge is lowered.
 
I never had any problem at all with you Flyer apart from I disagreed with you on maybe 10% of what you wrote. Which put another way I agreed mostly. Come back please, these realistic and correct views are for me needed on here :-) :-)
On the other side if someone has really been threatening another R you should do one = Leave.
