Just a thought. Each of my threads was posted at a shorter notice than normal (e.g., Thursday before Saturday) before the game. Clearly those clambering this week from Monday to have the thread up must also share some guilt.....

Ok, the run has come to an end. In truth there was as much chance of continuing as Villa having a shot on target.

Football in an unforgiving business mate and you are only as good as your last performance. You will go down in history and mentioned in the same breath as other southampton folk such as Rupert Lowe, Harry Redknapp and Ian Branfoot.

Anyway all joking aside and no-one has made me spokesperson but i am sure i speak for most in thanking you for your factual, funny and positive match threads during an impressive run. Look forward to the 40th anniversary thread for the Man City game.

Time for the next person to step up, tiggermaster are you there? There is less than 60 hours before the next game.

I really think this is a mistake. FLT should be given the Bournemouth thread, given its proximity to Saturday's game. Getting a new match thread poster up to date at such short notice is a disaster waiting to happen. I reckon match thread ownership should continue in terms of match weeks, and reckon these two are in the same match week. Give him a chance to bounce back and spread the positivity.

Why wait, FLT - just post it?! I know there is one up already - just compete and we can vote with our feet/fingers.
 
I'm not sure; I feel that FLT's ready acceptance that he's an unskilled, useless, incapable, pig-ignorant, awful, dislikable, stupid, futile and hopeless twot who should never be allowed near a keyboard again under any circumstances is quite refreshing.

Well, Tom's run wasn't exactly extended. That'll teach him for rushing in when Tiggermaster was invited. :)
