Sorry mate, don't agree. Defensively he was perfect, streets ahead on points, but it was no boxing masterclass.

I'm not suggesting there are any, but Khan might put up a decent fight. Mayweather won't take that though, he's two fights off the record and I would be doing the same in his shoes.

It was a masterclass in displaying how to nullify your opponent my hitting and not getting hit. Other than a couple of mistakes in round 4 and 6, he was technically outstanding.
Boxing after all is an art about hitting and not getting hit back.

Khan would be the financial fight. But maybe he'd like to retire undisputed welterweight champ and fight Brook instead. They are the only two welterweight fights out there.

A bunch of us were over in Myrtle Beach when Manny gave Ricky Hatton a painful lesson on what it means to be a champion. He was no gentleman, well for about 50 seconds or so :emoticon-0146-punch

We'll agree to disagree about the masterclass however, I agree with the above. Khan would be the fight we all want to see, but he won't take that one. For the record I still think an aging Mayweather would be too good for Khan and I wouldn't rule out a Pacquiao rematch either.

Well I've just read on BBC that he's blaming a shoulder injury before the fight. Don't see Mayweather risking it tbh. He's beaten him so why risk getting in the ring with him again.

Why wasn't it a masterclass? Are you sure you understand the definition of the word and you're not confusing the word with something which means 'incredibly entertaining'.

I am not trying to patronise you mate but it was a pure masterclass, this was supposed to be the toughest fight of his life and he barely needed to break sweat to beat the guy, he frustrated Pacquiao and like I said earlier Pacquiao looked like he was going to cry at one point, he barely needed to dig never mind dig deep to beat the fighter who many thought would end his streak.

He is a master of the sport and he taught Pacquiao a lesson and that was that he's just not on his level, not even close.

The fight was Over after about 30 seconds. I knew that early that PAC wasn't going to win.

Tactics all wrong. Was constantly going clockwise and going in in straight lines. It was easy for Mayweather to flick the jab out pepper him with the lead right and keep him at bay.

PAC was put off sstraight from the off. Mayweathers footwork was much better than its been for a few years. I scored it 117-111.

The only "if" left is could a 5 years younger Manny have sustained attacks when he got floyd backed up. It was telling that when he had some success he seemed to punch himself out and backed off

The fight was the reason why I pay more attention to UFC now. If a mms fighter decides to fight from the defence he'd he'd be taken down on his back and ground and pounded.

    Against Corimer ??
I agree he done a brilliant job containing Corimers strongest weapon (wrestling), by not allowing himself to be taken down, but he threw all kinds of strikes that fight and never ran once!
