.... but no sell-on money for us, apparently - because Boro let him go cheaply.... https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...s/insult-injury-bristol-city-wont-3106896.amp I suppose we got a good price for him initially, so can’t complain if his stock is falling.......
Well he's gone from red to red and now onto blue.....next level down from there is playing for the Gas!!! The slippery slope has started....
I don’t normally find myself agreeing with you RR but on this I really do agree. He will score loads for them - and defend well for them too. They have a bargain in Flint.
Looks like you’ve been tango’d, , it’s ok I do realise unless you’re of a certain age you won’t have a clue what I’m talking about. Christ they are asking £65 , thats three times a months salary for most sheep botherers , still I guess they have to pay flints salary somehow
Unfortunately, I very much old enough to remember Ashton. how many manglewurzells to the pound (£ not lb, before someone states the obvious) do you currently get?
I live and work in Wales, us English take all your best jobs, because the welsh are too thick to have em , its easy pickings
Funnily enough, back in the 1990s most of the local pub landlords were Welsh. Not joking - it was strange how many there were around the Chew Valley to Bedminster area.
Funny that, I've lived and worked in England for over 30 years (including 10 in the beautiful city of Brizzle), just for the opposite reason . Headed north though, so now reside in Cheshire.
A lot of teachers in Bristol were welsh. Played rugby with quite a few while I was there. Chew Valley, nice. Spent quite a few days bobbing up and down chasing trout on that fine fishery back in the 80s and 90s.
I live in the scruffy end of the county. A few miles between me and footballer belt. I now regard myself as upper working class.
That’s where I’m from mate. Grew up there and went to Chew school. My dad still has a boat at Chew Valley Sailing Club.
You lucky bloke. Spent quite a bit of time on chew, blagdon and the barrow tanks chasing trout during the 10 years i lived in bristol. Lovely countryside. Happy days.
You have struck a memory chord from my very enjoyable childhood, in the early fifties my parents moved out to Brockley Coombe, near Cleeve a few miles out of Bristol, My older brother and I used to go roaming over Dundry Hill and the Chew Valley area, there used to be many clean, clearwater streams flowing down those hills towards Chew, we used to pick wonderful fresh watercress, so hot and peppery you wouldn't believe it,we would do a bit of scrumping and trot off home with our treasures, sometimes the odd rabbit, a rare delicacy in those days, different times.
You probably went past my parents house where I grew up Wiz - right opposite Dundry Royal British Legion hall - next to the primary school I attended!
