After seeing Joe Bryan against us last season I was hoping we'd sign him to replace Charlie Taylor. I'm hearing really mixed opinions on how good Flint is, not sure I'd be confident of him being able to replace Bartley (who was immense last season) but honestly don't know enough.

How good is Flint? Depending on how you view what is skill he is either very good, or very average. Pace no. Great distribution no. Wins most balls in the air 100% yes. Gets beaten for pace (which he does not have) or turned inside out generally no. Consistent performer yes. Attitude great.

Over three seasons Bristol City have scored an unusually high number of goals from corners ... Its Aden Flint who scores them.

Honestly cannot imagine him being better than what we had last season. Pontus Jansson made the team of the year (and honestly should be playing in a top 10 prem team, insanely good CB) and Kyle Bartley was our leader and wasn't far behind Jansson in ability. We play out from the back so he'd have to learn how to do that effectively.

It won't be a case of us not being able to afford him though, think we are in the top 3 clubs for spending in the window so far and thats unlikely to change. We've got a decent budget this season.

Flint has left the club, replacement been at AG today.

Ripley signing tomorrow permanently.

Leeds aren't getting Flint. He's not interested in that move.

However he is leaving today (apparently) with Middlesbrough being the team. We're getting cash plus Connor Ripley, just had a conversation with someone on twitter messages and he's told me all day yesterday we had a Centreback at the club who we want to replace Flint, he's ready to sign but we can't until Flint goes, supposedly a top class defender. Looks as though we want this all done within the next 24 hours to avoid to much fan backlash for selling a huge fan favourite.

We'll have to wait and see..
