Further to Shinys "getting to know you threads' which were interesting to find out what people on here like, I thought to myself, I wonder what films would get people off their arses and along to a cinema?

My top 5 favourite films (with a bit of cheating!)

1) Goodfellas

2) The Shawshank Redemption.

3) The Bourne Trilogy.

4) 300

5) Godfather trilogy.

These are films that no matter how many times i have seen them if they are on the TV I will have to watch them again and again.

Which films can you not resist?

the reason i put the Tune!!! thread up is becasue me and my mate were having that conversion and then we started talking about our films, and i just couldnt pick but i did learn that all my fav films bar 1 is comedy so thats my type of genre, but to pick 5 hmmmmmm

1. The Inbetweeners Movie

2. Step Brothers

3. Superbad

4. 28 Days Later

5. Lord Of The Rings Trilogy

Got me thinking but my top 5 are...

1) The Bone Collector.

2) Heartbreak Ridge.

3) Get Carter (original)

4) Day of the Jackel (original)

5) Godfather Trilogy.

1 nightmare before Christmas
2 beauty and the beast
3 the mighty ducks
4 lion king
5 the original Italian job

maybe others i like more but brain says no more in my head

In the order I watched them -

Bambi
Dr Zhivago
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
The Shining
Shawshank Redemption

The bourne trilogy
Shawshank Redemption
Rush Hour 1,2,3
Trading places
Shutter island

not in any order...

pirates of the caribbean 1-4 (obvious reasons)
the hangover 1 and 2
oceans 11
avatar (watched that 4 times at the cinema)
die hard 1-5

Some great films in that lot and some I shamefully haven't seen.. but this exercise has given me a films to see list.

1) as good as it gets.

2) legion

3) let me in.

4) 25th hour

5) betty blue.

I love your list shiny, inbetweeners seemed to be a documentary filmed of my first holiday in Magulluf in 1981. it was uncanny. (not much has changed really mate)

Step brothers and superbad both hilarious.

i actually love step bros and superbad, ****ing hilarious.

as for inbetweeners, my first lads holiday is coming up in June, but its in Egypt <laugh> i know weird place. but we are 5 minutes away from the 20th best nightclub in the world, and i plan to lose my memory for a week
