A billiant read and obv from someone who knows what they're talking about, but.... I do believe there is one thing you've missed out. A big signing, no matter what he does or doesn't bring to the team itself can copy what success (which we don't have yet) can bring, ie is better financial revenue, other 'big' players coming to Sunderland and the ability to keep out better players
Welcome back JC. Excellent post. My only problem is I don't find Fletcher ticking any of my boxes. If he comes and does well, I will be the first to eat humble pie. From what I recall of his goals last season most were **** defending, rather than a real class goalscorer. The header against us was embarrassing as our defenders just stood and watched. But as always I'm willing to be proved wrong.
