Football-speak drives me as mad as the next man but 2 defeats in the last 8 is a damn sight better than we've done for quite a while, so I'll put up with it as best I can!

On the other hand, I have heard sarcastic remarks from journalists concerning Fletcher's apparent reluctance to share the sort of routine factoids that most managers give out on transfer dealings e.g. is he trying to extend SoAndSo's loan deal?

Now personally, I don't think anyone owes the journalists a living or has to help them fill up their papers or programmes with idle speculation on quiet news days. But if Fletcher loses the local press and through them the fans, it won't help his case if times continue to be tough on the field.

Not being a dynamic public speaker is one thing and maybe he comes across much better to the players in private, but losing the PR battle is quite another.

Maybe Fletcher is still getting help regarding playing staff from Ridsdale............he said he would still help during the transfer window...........although Prestons form suggests that Ridsdale should be upto his neck trying to salvage them at present.

If Ridsdale was a parrot plymborn I would be really worried for your state of mind..........Ridsdale is a dead parrot, he is deceased, a stiff, no more as Monty Python might have said. Give over with your Ridsdale, he has left the building along with Elvis and hopefully his fat lady friend.

Part of what deal? He didn't have a contract at Argyle and was free to walk away. There was no deal just him saying he would help out if he could. There was no obligation on his part and now there is no story in it for him here why would you think he is bothering anymore? He is gone full stop plymborn. Sorry to burst your bubble in the "I love Ridsdale" T-Shirt motiff competition.

All managers talk bollocks, most or some of the time depending on who they are.Fletch just chooses to talk in meaningless cliche's most of the time-funny old game football,ha-ha.

    Gentlemans agreement

The fatal flaw with your argument re Ridsdale lies in that very phrase Plymborn.
