A fit Fletch is a defo "yes" for me.

An unfit Fletch is a bit of a waste of space.

Strange to me people saying he's an in the box player.

In his first season he came deep a lot and held the ball up well, his passing is very tidy as well.

I'm not sure who people have been watching like, last season he was garbage, we will find out if he was rushed back and never fit, but for me he always did a bit more than goal poach in a very good first season.

Huge difference between MoN tactics and Gus tactics like. His role won't be the same. Way more being asked of him now, he'll be seeing much much more of the ball. Like I said, I'm on the fence until I see him fit playing this system. Just got a niggling gut feeling he's not up to it. Hope I'm wrong because the lad can finish.

IMHO his role is in a strike partnership. He drops deep to connect play, lays the ball off then looks to ghost in to the box late and unmarked. If u are up top on your own, a centre half will follow you when you drop deep, and fletcher does not like the physical attention. He will also always be marked in the box

He is an intelligent player with a fine touch and a great left foot, but the loan striker has to be a jack of all trades

Michael Owen and Gary Lineker were both a 'fox in the box'

    Steven Fletcher is not.
