Yeah. We've won half our games this season not including the cup run, doesn't exactly require a huge leap of faith to think we've got a good chance in the playoffs. McGeady and Maguire should both be fit for them.

The playoffs are like cup games. You can't rely on form as an indicator. It's more about desire and composure.

We might get through to wembley but can't see us winning there. Not in the slightest.

I thought against Portsmouth we had both, could easily have gone either way. Just that one penalty the only difference.

Exactly. I don't see any reason to believe that we can't go up via the playoffs.

We could have avoided Charlton but the players crap on us yet again, when will this end for christ's sake ? if we finish 5th i am duffing the play offs, Ross cannot make a tactical decision against a team with nowt to play for, and managed by that get, next up Bowyer another ex mag. Peterborough could sneak into the play offs and face Portsmouth again !. And Luton got Jammy again they seemed to have had luck all season.

First half at Wembley we were brilliant, the best 45 mins of our season and we had Catts and Leadbitter running the mid-field, second half, Jack blew it and he does not inspire my confidence in his ability to win a game from a winnable situation, he bottles it, and that is my main worry, I want him to succeed but I doubt time is not on his side, hope I am wrong I really do.

My take on it was that it was about Portsmouth getting back into it rather than us slipping up. They're probably a better team than us with a good manager so it wasn't really surprising that they woke up at half time.

I don't see Ross as a negative manager or a bottler, I think he's done pretty well with what he's got personally. Not saying he's perfection but I don't have any serious complaints.

Less than a month ago we suddenly found ourselves in a position where we were favourites to finish second. Up until that point it had been an enjoyable season. Ever since then, when the chips were down, we have been poor and blown it, whilst a team with something about them would have kicked on taken advantage of the situation. Basically when the chips were down we bottled it. The chips will certainly be down in the playoffs and I can't see things changing. Even as I have gained a respect for the manager and players this season I can't help feeling let down by the last few weeks. No anger, just disappointed.

I think its more that there's a lack of concentration on the pitch late in games. T should be possible to coach that pit of them. It's also that we're a cup final for most clubs in this league and, when they find themselves trailing, they'll become even more determined to gain a scalp.

Will Grigg ? if he is playing with an injury as seems to be the consensus on here, why do we keep playing him, he has scored two goals from open play and contributes very little else imo., we need eleven fit players minimum on the pitch to get through 90 minutes of football in todays game, we have not had this since Xmas imo.

At the start of the season I'm sure most of us would have taken the playoffs.

Yes its disappointing given the fact automatic promotion was in our own hands but let's not wet the bed.

Remember where we were a year ago?

We don't seem to be able to play well for 90 minutes - I've lost count of the number of games when we were crap first half then came back to win or draw in the second half or we were fantastic first half and then play crap in the second half.
