I have to say that pleased as I am to see Bothroyd sign, I'm not yet ready to start dropping my "doom merchant" concerns completely. It still looks likely that we will start the season without two of of best outfield players from last year in Tarabt and Routledge, and there seem to be some doubts about Kenny too. Whatever your views about the Goons (and mine are pretty clear), I think that everyone of us can agree that our squad still needs further stregthening in order to be competitive in the Premier League. Signing Campbell would definately help though.

Makes £4 million for Craig Mackell Smith look ridiculous whilst he's dodging seagull shyte on the south coast... If they can wrap up a deal for Bullard we'll be looking pretty decent at the front end of the team...
