People believe what they are told on the whole (which is lovely with mashed potatoes & gravy) and you would never get 100% agreement on any subject but the advent of the internet has meant any random twerp can spout off about shyte and potentially billions of people can listen to what is being said. It only takes a small percentage of those to agree and you have millions of "followers" who think you are right.

David Icke is a prime example. He sits there in his shell suit spouting off about lizard men and a whole load of other twattage that makes no sense at all but he's got loads of subscribers. Some of them may just like a laugh at his expense but others will watch him and think "hang on, he's got a point".

Just look at what is put out as entertainment on British TV. Shows about haunted houses, audiences sitting in front of a psychic hoping for some news about their dead granny, Jeremy Kyle etc. Mong TV for the Mong Nation. It is from these ranks that the conspiracy theorists emerge as they don't have the intelligence or sense to know any difference.

A quick search gives these as the top conspiracy theories;

  • The JFK Assassination.
  • 9/11 Cover-Up.
  • Area 51 and the Aliens.
  • Paul Is Dead.
  • Secret Societies Control the World.
  • The Moon Landings Were Faked.
  • Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
  • Holocaust Revisionism.

No further questions M'lud.

Coincidentally, the same % of people who voted 'Leave'. So yeah, 52% of people in the UK are utter ****ing ****-wits.
Change the record you morbidly obese lonely old man that pays East European women to touch your lifeless acorn for €10 a pop.

What if our foreign policy of the past century is deeply flawed and has not served our national security interest?

What if we wake up one day and realize that the terrorist threat is the predictable consequence of our meddling in the affairs of others, and has nothing to do with us being free and prosperous?

What if occupying countries like Iraq and Afghanistan and bombing Pakistan is directly related to the hatred directed toward us?

What if someday it dawns on us that losing over 5,000 American military personnel in the Middle East since 9/11 is not a fair tradeoff with the loss of nearly 3,000 American citizens no matter how many Iraqi, Pakistanian, Afghan people are killed or displaced?

What if we finally decide that torture, even if called “enhanced interrogation technique”, is self-destructive and produces no useful information and that contracting it out to a third world nation is just as evil?

What if the American people woke up and understood that the official reasons for going to war are almost always based on lies and promoted by war propaganda in order to serve special interests?

What if we as a nation came to realize that the quest for empire eventually destroys all great nations?

What if the American people learned the truth, that our foreign policy has nothing to do with national security, that it never changes from one administration to the next?

What if war in preparation for war is a racket serving the special interests?

What if diplomacy is found to be superior to bombs and bribes in protecting America?

What if the sun was actually just a light bulb in a cardboard box?

What happens if my concerns are completely unfounded?

Nothing.

But what happens if my concerns are justified and ignored?

Nothing good.
