Personally Im tired of all the boring beer talk. Lager is a drink. Nothing more. Some see it as a badge of honour that they can get pissed. So what - it's not a skill is it ? It's not just here - it's society in general, especially amongst the lower classes that this exists. I'm tired of hearing " so and so was hammered on the weekend - he's a great bloke - nutter" - and it's like a term of endearment.
I enjoy a drink, but alcohol is something that helps the conversation flow - it shouldn't be the topic!

A very harsh assessment there. What about those who go to University? That's where getting rat arsed is considered a badge of honour. Alcohol is not just a problem in the 'lower' classes.
