Until a team has the match awarded against them and are then kicked out of the competition the racist **** bags will just keep on doing it.
The club are responsible...it weren't individuals making monkey noises or throwing banana's which a club can say is hard to prevent...they had a ****ing banner that was not confiscated by the stewards or police.

"they had a f**ing banner that was not confiscated by the stewards or police."

They could tenuously claim they had no idea what the words on the banner meant (being non-English) .

they could have used google translator...if i saw a banner in another language being held by spurs fans that's what I'd do...and I don't believe the club didn't recognise the word "Jews"... its virtually universal and very similar to the word "Juden" which they'd know from their own countries history in WW2.

I know you probably know this and are playing devils advocate but it genuinely is beyond me why they didn't remove the banner

They have a tenuous excuse for the initial unfurling of the banner, but not much more.
I don't know for how much of the game the banner was actually on display for.

Time for the return leg at WHL and it'll be interesting to see how Pochettino approaches this one and who's actually available for it.
I'd either go for virtually no changes and try to maintain some consistency, maybe putting Lennon and Chiriches into the side, or switch the whole lot and train for the Everton game with the main XI.
I've no idea how many players we've got available though, as there were tons out yesterday. Why were we playing on Sunday when we're in the Europa, anyway?

Walker's being tipped for a return soon, but I'd have thought that Naughton was a more likely pick for this.
Rose, Kaboul, Chadli, Capoue, Adebayor and Townsend were all absent and Bentaleb's still out, too. No sign of Friedel either, but that's expected.
It would be nice to know who's missing and why, to be honest. Adebayor was probably down to his international travels, but what about the rest?
Something of a strange one. Did we have a spate of injuries or a bug? Perhaps the manager left out everyone that wasn't putting in enough effort? Odd one.

Adebayor picked up a back injury on international duty, so it's been reported.

one guy told me,that the squad is divided into two groups now,the one's that can play Poch's system, and the one's that won't or can't play it.Don't know if there is any truth in it.

Funny how the second group is almost entirely comprised of players who are injured.

I can't understand why anyone would have a problem with Kane, either.
All sounds a bit made up to me, especially the part about Lennon, whose family are all up North, aren't they? Why would he be so staunchly against a move?

That is correct, he has a back problem. Kaboul was absent for "private reasons". They are Poch's words, not mine.

Normally I'd like us to start the team we plan to on Sunday, considering the position we're in but December's always busy so I don't think we should put them through 3 games in 6 days unless it's necessary.

We can lose this one and still qualify on the night if Asteros don't beat Besiktas.

Davies and Chiriches could both probably do with more game time at fullback and I'd start Fazio and Dier at the back with a view to 3 of the back 4 starting again on Sunday. The rest can be made up of any senior players that missed the game yesterday and have been patched up, and dip into the under 21s for any postions that are still vacant.

Very euphemistic. Presumably the word would've been personal if there was an off-pitch issue, like a bereavement, so what does that leave us?
It's either that Pochettino privately watched his performances this season on DVD and noticed that he'd been playing **** or his attitude has been off.
    Doesn't sound great though, really.

I've got nothing against Kaboul as a person but anything that keeps him out of the starting line up sounds good to me.

I'd seen that too Inda. Its obviously very hard to know how much credence to give to such rumours, but if they're true I could definitely see some players being 'injured', rather than injured, if you see what I mean. I reckon Poch definitely regrets making Kaboul captain too. The bit about players initially buying into a new work ethic etc. and then ducking out after a lack of immediate success wouldn't surprise me though..

Impossible to gauge truthfulness in a piece like this though.

We certainly should give Dier a game at centre back. He became less and less influential at right back, so playing him at centre back should see him regain his confidence...and also because Fazio is suspended.

If they dive as much as they did in the first game, and the ref is just as oblivious to it, we need to be pressing higher up the pitch. This means we should probably give Stambouli a game to prove himself, with an eye on the Everton match.

Forgot sbout Fazio's ban. Vetonghen it is then, I don't think we have anyone else unless Capoue or Stambouli fill in.

There are pictures from yesterday's training session of various absentees from Sunday's game, including Naughton and Walker.
We've gone from having no right-back at all and playing two centre-halves there to having two available, all in the space of a few days. Typical.

Rose, Kaboul, Bentaleb, Friedel and some of the youth players were all included, but I couldn't spot Adebayor.

Naughton and Bentaleb are available for selection, apparently. Walker's not deemed ready, yet.
