It is a very favourable start, BUT, the run in is a complete nightmare. We MUST be safe by April or we are in big trouble imo.
THE SUN Warnock happy with QPR start NEIL WARNOCK cannot wait for QPR's Premier League campaign to kick off against Bolton. The R's boss reacted with delight as his side's fixtures for the new season were revealed. Rangers have avoided facing any of the Premier League's big four clubs in their opening EIGHT matches. Warnock's side meet Wanderers on the opening day before trips to Everton and Wigan in August. The following month, Rangers entertain Newcastle at home, travel to Wolves away and then see Alex McLeish's Aston Villa come to Loftus Road. QPR's first test against one of the big boys is when Chelsea make the trip across west London on October 22nd. Warnock said: "It's just fabulous to be involved. "When you see the fixtures it's so exciting. It doesn't matter who you play, the Premier League is where we all want to be. It's just fabulous to be involved." On his team's own prospects, the QPR boss added: "I think the thing is to try to play without fear. "We know we're going to have one or two defeats but it's how you bounce back — and our home record's always been good. "I'm really glad I'm in the Premier League and I've got to make sure whoever plays us it's difficult for them." On his squad, he explained: "The lads that took us up deserve a chance — but I've got to get the right players to make the team better. "It's difficult at the moment but I'm going to persevere. "I've spoken to Ian Holloway and he thought where he made a mistake was not getting a squad big enough by the end of August and we don't want to make that mistake if we can help it." On the top flight, Warnock added: "For West Ham to go down with the team they had I find incredible. "The league is the tightest it's ever been and for Manchester United to only win five games away from home...you know everyone's in with a shout. "It's great when teams don't walk away with it. It's going to be very close and very exciting." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/spo....l#ixzz1PWSm5TWy
Now we know whose on first and whats on second.......lets please pack Loftus Road. I know some of us, are staying away from home games, but its been over fifteen years man. Lets not let the team down, it was often said in warnies programme notes that we, the supporters are the 12th man, we need to be there, not for cosa nostra, but for my team...the superhoops, the r's, rangers.....or as i used to call them: come on you fu@king r'ssssssss Bolton home is a decent start for us, but also a good test for our squad (whoever they may be), could have had a top 6 home or away and come back with heads down and confidence low, at least with bolton we can see where we need to measure up.
Looks like the Swans will upset your christmas aye! got you down for a 3-0 loss................ please log in to view this image
Have to say the fixture list is rather good. Providing we can notch up some decent results before Christmas we stand as good a chance as any for staying up or even finishing mid-table. We can't underestimate any team so I am not going to automatically think we are going to beat the likes of Bolton, Wigan, Wolves etc. Let's get it on. UP THE R'S!!!!!
