Like all footy fans I am sure we will approach the new season with excitement and trepidation and a belief we will sweep all before us. Will the reality have set in by September?

City will be in bottom 3 at end of August.

Slade out in time for home match v Huddersfield after the international break.

For goodness sake give the man a chance,we haven't kicked a ball yet.Talk again at the end of September.

I am giving my opinion. Any ambitions for promotion will be a pipe dream by the autumn.

City will be at best lower mid table next season with Slade in charge. We all know he is just a yes man brought in on the cheap to save cash.

I'd prefer a 35-40 year old with some ambition and understanding of modern day football in charge, not an ageing journeyman who employs dinosaur tactics and not being able to get the best out of his squad.

Given the first five fixtures......Fulham, QPR, Blackburn, Wolves and Forest, how many points will Slade need to keep his job?

Given Tan's lack of patience can you still see Slade here come September if we scrape five of six points from these games?

Bfb will know - he's good at predicting results

Slade should have been sacked as soon as last season ended.

A young ambitious manager we could all get behind and understands the modern game should have been brought in.

I just hope Slade doesnt leave us in serious relegation danger. Hes totally out of his depth.

Would love to be proved wrong though.

Why the hell has the Fulham game time been changed? On tv maybe? If so, that will knock another couple of thousand off a potentially poor crowd.

Fulham games are not exactly recipes for trouble.
