From a selfish point of view i am happy with WBA as the first home fixture. may be easier for non ST holders to get a ticket
Chelsea away on my Birthday. A special present? Oh, I forgot when my Birthday is. Spurs at home I think.
Don't like the look of Xmas! Well déjà view for the start and a home game to end with. 'Winnable' home games to kick off with. Thnk Southampton will be moved to the Sunday as they are in Europe.
Here's the full list in case nobody has seen it. Run in could have been worse I suppose. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/watford/fixtures
Somebody just stated on the wobbly website that we have played Everton first game of the season in 3 of our 4 top flight seasons. Quick question, without googling, anyone recall who scored for us in that first fixture of our first top flight season under God?
Third time we’ve met Everton on the opening day of a new top flight season. That list in full: 82/83 Everton 83/84 Coventry 84/85 Man Utd 85/86 Spurs 86/87 Oxford 87/88 Wimbledon 99/00 Wimbledon 06/07 Everton 15/16 Everton
Bournemouth and Norwich both managed to get home draws for their opening game - and Aston Villa and Crystal Palace would have been good draws for the first day
Does anyone else find this baffling? On the day that the the Premier League fixtures are announced, the Watford Observer is giving prominance to a L*t*n 'insult'. I can think of many ways that I could have reported this (if indeed I deemed it worthy of reporting). However, this would not be one of them!!! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...the_dates_for_when_the_Coppa_Italia_starts__/
Just noticed, for the first time in a very long time Arsenal are not the first name in the alphabetical list of Premiership (top flight) teams...taken over by none other than AFC B'muff. They are perhaps top of the league for the only time next season and we will be hoping to improve on our 'current league position' of 18th
