As a Sunderland fan who endured yet another mid-season collapse, I can tell you theres 2 sides to this.

Our mid-season collapse was down to a combination of a pile of injuries and having to play Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal Liverpool, Stoke and Everton both away all in one run. We gained 1 point in this run, and it carried over into our next few games against Brum, West brom and Wolves. This is the risk that you can lose so many that team morale gets crushed.

On the other hand in the first half of the season we had a similar run, but this time we performed well, beating Chelsea, Man City, drawing with Man U Liverpool and Arsenal that helped raise the team morale. I guess its what the players make of the situation.

My missus is a Bolton fan, and i must say, those opening fixtures for you are ridiculously harsh. QPR will be wanting to prove a point and will go all out against you in the opening game leaving a draw as the best posibility. Well...then the rest speaks for itself. I think certain people don't want you in the premier league anymore.

When people talk about Bolton now, they talk about mid-table stuff, not relegation battlers or anything like that, but that will change come the end of those seven games!

I doubt Coyle will bow down to them though, I reckon we could nick a win or two from the big boys. See how it goes..
