bloody hell, we have got you on my 10th wedding anniversary weekend, how the bloody hell do i break that to the missus!

sorry love but you know that weekend away, well...................................!

if we make a good start with those awkward early fixtures we will have a cracking season. don't see it myself

I think this is unnecessary pessimism, tbh.

We have a very tough start (and I'd include Bournemouth and then Cardiff in that), but we then get a marginally easier run in September, after the transfer window shuts.

The bottom line is we are likely to lose players like Fer, Snodgrass, etc over the course of August. If we can get them to play a few matches in August we might be able to use their class against the stronger teams.

I've seen nothing to suggest we won't hit the ground running (and the converse). The board have sorted out the managerial situation early and there is plenty of time to focus on getting the squad together.

Looks like it's going to be a decent league.I will post a thread for Championship Prediction League and I will do a Premiership one as well if there is enough interest.

ipswich have a very tough run in guru. ours, fulham aside, isn't too bad.

rob, pessimistic maybe, but relegated teams who don't make a good start normally struggle to get themselves back into contention. equally, i've seen nothing to suggest we WILL hit the ground running. you may as well stick a pin in the league ladder to determine where we will finish this coming season.
