Released in 4 weeks time. 9am on the 26th June to be precise…

Who do people fancy first up?

We’ve been at home first game in each of the last 6 seasons. We’re overdue an away trip to get us started.

An easy home game to start would be nice. Also be nice if it was 3pm on a Saturday

Oxford at home please

That would be great, although unlikely. 5 championship games every weekend are at different times now. 12.30 Saturday, 5.30 Saturday, 12 Sunday etc. Not ideal.

That, combined with the tunnel closures are going to make going to the match a real pain in the arse this season

It sounds like they’ll announce any TV games/time changes up until January when the fixtures are released. That’s a huge bonus. The old system of TV games announced only 4-6 weeks before the fixture was a nightmare, especially away games.

If recent precedent is followed, the last couple of seasons teams coming up from league one play teams coming down from the premier or playoff teams. Eg us v Ipswich or Sheffield Wednesday v Southampton. By that logic with us finishing 16th, we should play someone who finished around us like millwall or Bristol city.

I’d love to play either of those away from home first up. Two good trips there.

Some EFL fixtures next season will be live on ITV. Deal due to start in January 2025…
