    Uncle Roy and his Palace lot to start on 11th August and Newcastle to finish on 12th May, both at home, isn't bad at all. The Gods have been with us over Christmas and New Year as well; Wolves at home on Boxing Day and Arsenal away on New Year's Day.

    Probably, the most ironic is our second match. After waiting 43 years we're back at Wembley to face Spurs.

    Happy with this. On a personal note, my five minute stroll to the away game at Bournemouth falls the weekend after my birthday - 3pts would make the perfect present!

    September could be a defining month. If we negotiate that with a clutch of points (5-7) it should be an okay season.

    A brilliant comment from our Chairman in his letter to us today.

    "It’s also impossible to overlook our immediate return to Wembley Stadium to face Spurs in the second match of the season. It’s an away fixture, but it will feel like home!"

    Priceless.............

    No chance of a #WhiteWall though. We'll get 3000 tickets top whack.

    Allowing spurs to play this one game at Wembley is all a bit dodgy. It's against FA Rules to play home games at more than one stadium in a season yet they get some sort of sanction. They could just as easily played all their first games away until the new place is ready. Don't want to be too cynical but the opening of the New White Hart Lane is a couple of weeks later against .... Liverpool !!

    Our cunning ploy not to have any marquee signings to tempt the TV boys has worked. And not even the lure of Roy returning to the Cottage has encouraged them to televise the Palace game. Indeed, our one and only live television appearance over the first two months of the season is:

    Watford at home on 22nd September with the kick off time being moved forward to 12:30.

    Have to say this pleases me quite a bit. Staying under the radar and away from clashes with Test Matches.

    With Burnley winning in Europe last night our home game has indeed been moved. To Sunday 26th August kick off 4pm.

    Interesting time for the Police since it clashes with the main day of Carnival. Not helped by tube closures.

    We seem to be becoming more popular with the boys at Sky. Some horrible kick off times in these changes however -

    * Chelsea v Fulham - SKY Sun 2 Dec @ Midday

    * Fulham v Leicester City Wed 5th December @ 7:45pm (not on the telly)

    * Fulham v West Ham - BT Sat 15 Dec @ 5.30pm

    * Fulham v Wolves - SKY Sat 26 Dec @ 12.30pm

    * Fulham v Spurs - SKY Sun 20 Jan @ 4pm

    More changes -

    * Man Utd game at the Cottage on Saturday 9th February has been brought forward to a 12:30 kick off. [Really dislike these lunchtime starts and this is now the 4th one we've had against the 'top lot' just to suit TV companies.]

    * West Ham game at 'The People's Olympic Stadium' has been move to Friday 22nd February kick off 7:45.

    And a wee reminder about January changes -

    * Spurs game at the Cottage is now on Sunday 20th January kick off 4pm.

    ^ the Brighton game also at the Cottage is on Tuesday 29th January kick off 7:45.
