As there's absolutely nothing to play for now (except a mathematical possibility of sixth), what can we expect from our last few matches?

Cardiff (A)
Brighton (A)
Reading (H)
Burnley (A)
Bristol City (H)

Personally, both home games are eminently winnable, but the away ones are tougher to call. Cardiff are pushing for a playoff place (although we all reckon they will probably choke again) whilst Brighton and Burnley are two of the three teams that will contest the automatic places. We could be facing the three promoted teams in our final three away games, and as such I'm not expecting a huge return. A couple of points and some strong performances wouldn't be bad. anything extra would be a bonus, and some experience for fringe players is more important than the results themselves.

My prediction is 63 points and team strengthening preparing us well for next season.

Thoughts?

6 points then.

70 points and get 6th on the last day whereupon we play Burnley and Barton gets sent off at LR 2 minutes in and we win 5-0 before losing the return 2-0.
We play Hull at Wembley and win 1-0 with Bruces's son scoring a own goal in 90th minute.
We then sack JFH and buy in a new team including the two lads upfront from Fulham and buy Adel Taarabt for 1m, Sofiane Boufal and Loic Remy
The team is managed by Bruno Genesio

We've already seen some tinkering and expect some more but not enough to set the team up for a pasting from anyone.

There is a professional / moral responsibility to play each of these games as though it were a cup final other wise they run the risk of being criticised for deliberately playing weakened teams which can seriously skew the table in the run-in.

Having said that, given that half of the managers are inevitably mates, you have to wonder if there might be a discrete phone call from, say, Sean Dyche, to JFH just enquiring if he feel she needs to put a very strong team when they play Burnley?

Morally dodgy and possibly even illegal since bets are on all these games so probably (possibly, perhaps!) does not happen.

If I got a call like that, I'd tape it and play it to my squad. No motivational words needed...

I would hope that when Dyche puts that call in JFH records it and passes it on to the relevant authorities who dock the long ball enthusiasts a minimum of 70 points and thus relegate the ****ers - thus handing an auto place to Brighton, thus making my small seagull a very happy lad (at least until the almost inevitable relegation at the end of next season that lies in wait for most promoted teams)

Did I mention I'm not a fan of the Burnley way?

Just for the record, the use of Dyche and JFH was for example only and in no way implies that either of those guys would do such a heinous thing!!!
Should have said Manager A and Manager B.
Apologies.

A tuff 5. 3 points from Reading and more play time for the likes of Ingram, Nasser, Kweb and Robinson.

Fancy we'll get a point at both Cardiff and Brighton, beat Reading and Bristol City and I've already said to my Burnley supporting mate that I play golf with every week that we'll get a point from them........he's a bit brassed off as he had a ticket for our game up there and then Sky fecked it up by moving it from the Saturday to the Bank Holiday Monday and he couldn't change his flights.......

A decent run in and all positive for the summer.

Or.....we lose all five but Jimmy learns a lot about who we keep and who we say goodbye to in the process and we have a proper preseason in the aftermath. Just as positive I think, the results now mean nowt, as long as we learn from them.

Plus the meltdown on here would be hysterical.
