I disagreed with the pile of ****e that he posted stating that Everton wouldn't be arsed winning a game against sides that might be in competition with the RS for a CL place. The team will always try to win, what the fans may or may not want the outcome to be is of no consequence.
No idea what being said as have Tobes on ignore cause his opinions just wind me up. Yes i have mates who support Everton, who when asked would they rather lose CL football than help hand LFC prem title they unreservedly said they would rather lose. i would NEVER Feel like that, i might hate the fact we help someone like utd out but not at my clubs expense. I am not sure Everton lost deliberately but I have definately seen them try harder and I have definately seen the ground rocking when playing top level competition, and neither happened that day. Maybe the fans' indecision rubbed off on the players like having the 12th man does who knows. What I was alluding to is - if Everton are safe come the Utd game I just don think they will try that hard, nor do I think that their fans will want them to.
I think you've got to truly hate another club to feel like that. I very rarely use the word hate and certainly don't use it for anything related to football bar maybe idiotic football fans that find disasters funny or beneficial. I'd actual take a different view. If Liverpool winning meant Everton or Man Utd etc won the title, I wouldn't let them forget it. Best case scenario is they lose their game; aka us beating Blackburn twenty years ago but Man Utd failing to beat West Ham.
Well you'd be wrong, simple as that. The city game last season had the title at stake, and as fans we weren't arsed whether the team won the match The players didn't play any differently than they'd always do and the game was very tight Whether you get a CL place doesn't matter one iota to us, so as fans the scenario is nothing like last seasons game.
