We may not have been busy in the transfer market yet, but at least there is some other great news coming from the DW Stadium:
James McCarthy has signed up for a five year deal, Ben Watson has signed a three-year extension and Emmerson Boyce has signed for two years.
Whatever else happens before the window closes, getting these three to extend their contracts and for so long, is a great fillip and as Roberto himself says, "We have been talking to several of our players and we are delighted to announce these first three, with hopefully more to come very soon. Having players commit their long-term futures provides the platform we need to build from."
