Alienating fans to the point where 50% of them no longer attend and neglecting the first team to the point where it is no longer competitive are not things that reflect upon the fitness of an owner as far as the EFL or the FA are concerned.
The legitimacy of Roland Duchatelet's wealth and his integrity as a business leader are beyond reproach. As far as the Football Authorities are concerned RD is a close as it is possible to get to the perfect football Club owner. He is whiter than white in their eyes.

Of course they are going to consult his administration regarding reform of the Fit and Proper persons regulations.
They would like nothing better than to have a Duchatelet owning every football Club in the League. Their lives would be so much easier (which is of course the only factor that motivates them to change anything).

You're not wrong - all they care about is that RD pays his bill. As neglectful as he is in regards to attending games, his political background suggests he isn't an individual like they have at LO who just plain refuses to pay bills.

However - with the media attention that surrounds charlton this is a huge own goal for the football league. It's not just charlton fans who are aware of RD's "lasting legacy", so it will do little to appease fans that these new legislations will change anything.

Fit and proper. It's all a scam, all the major European nations should be coming out and saying they're going to boycott Qatar. I mean **** they fund terrorists and have severe human rights violations.

But as long as FIFA, Visa and Budwieser make a **** tonne loads of cash at the expense of the people and the Qatar government and citizens give that money to terrorists, then it's ****ing okay to have a World Cup there.

The image of Sepp Bladder opening the envelope and triumphantly shouting "QATAR!" will stay with me for a long time.
