@HRH Custard VC

The wife is going mental at my Visa bills since I came back to fishing <laugh>

I have now bought all new gear for ever type of fishing except carping ( even sea fishing) and am having a great time. Off to Bewl Waters for a spot of trout and pike fishing from a boat soon. Then going to hit a beach for some surf casting.

Meanwhile, I am looking for a 3lb plus perch in between visits to my favourite natural lake where the ****ing carp keep breaking me off. I need to practice my knows as my self tied hook lengths keep giving way after about 3 seconds. I have the drag set right, but each break is at the eye of the hook...maybe superglue will help?

Sr=tarted trying drop shotting on the canals with a new 6' fast action spinning rod. Even the half pound perch are great fun on such a soft rod :)

For the lake I get snapped on, I am after bream, so 10lb main and 8lb flouro. No way they shoud break so easily and it is defo my knots at fault as the carp only go to low 20's and I have a good soft rod to cushion the lunges :(
