HMRC last year wrote to 2690 companies running EBTs and told them they have to settle up - or they'd litigate I think they're taking this EBT thing quite seriously.
Seems they have their sights set on them. Heard a news report a few weeks back that said there were some 7000 companies operating them.

To be quite honest the problem id Rangers, not any Celtic poster. I suppose the idiots Gambol and Mask don't accept Rangers did wrong when they did not forward the Nat. Ins. and Income tax that they took off their employees this tax year. In their simple eyes I suppose that if someone pays the outstanding sum that should be the end of it. These people seem blind to all the cheating and fiddling that Rangers have been involved in for years. Having friends in right places seemed to be Rangers plans for staying on the right side of the law. No matter how long is the day, night comes.

It's clear to me from reading this thread that, with regards to Rangers, EBTs and the tax case, the debate is over
