    Technically he's wrong, the GB were not the "first" as the OBAF laws are fairly new, whereas the Offensive Communications Act came into force in 2003. So people have been getting done for offensive communications far longer than the GB have been getting done for being fannies.

    Thread should have been called "First they went after bigoted arseholes".

    I realise that doesn't have quite the same ring about it though.

    We agree that laws are brought in to control people, yes. Laws can either be bad or good but control is their purpose
