For one mil I'd take him.

Fantastic striker of a ball, good crosser and basically like a left footed Joey Barton.

Wrong side of 30, not done anything of note for 2-4 years and criminally slow.

We lack pace and he'd only had to that problem. Would be a poor bit of business for me.

Do you not think he'd be better than Jonas though?

    I'm sorry to say that I really don't give a **** anymore.

Having to listen to Joe Kinnear at all is bad enough, but to have this moronic dinosaur pulling any strings at Newcastle United simply turns my stomach.

Come on - it's one thing the owner not giving two fcking hoots about the fans opinion, but for Pardew or Kinnear to have to sit there in front of 50,000 having signed Matt Taylor? Surely, surely not. That's masochistic, bordering on suicidal.

Perhaps it wasn't just the players names he misheard when being talked through the squad, "we have a plan, Welcome to Le Toon".

Jonas is well past his sell by date but I'd still prefer him over Taylor.

Would really struggle to see the logic behind signing him if it did happen. Can only hope that it's a non starter.

Re Matty Taylor, he was too slow 3 years ago, and whoever made the left footed Joey Barton comment, i agree. Because he wasnt good enough for us either.

Matt Taylor for £1m or Nathan Redmond for around £2m. Seriously? Come on, surely to God we're better that Taylor.

A player who isn't good enough isn't a good signing, no matter what the price (unless he's young enough that you think he will become good enough in the future)

<ok> All day long. Taylor wasn't a bad player 5-8 years ago.................

I'd be surprised if there is any substance to this little rumour

Aubameyang causing a stir on Twitter. Currently at Barcelona airport (he was on hoilday) but says "destination unknown", with the general consensus that a return to St Etienne is unlikely.

He'll probably be bragging in his next statement about inventing a new Olympic sport.
