    Tango lessons?

I am sure you mean "pesos".

I am currently in the Dominican Republic where we also use pesos. There was an American tourist in a bar last night indignant that he couldn't pay his tab with Philippine pesos. It then emerged that when he bought currency for his trip he chose Philippine pesos instead of Dominican pesos because the exchange rate was slightly better and he thought it was all the same thing except for different national designs (like the euro).

It was 1978, Eddie, and I think it was pesetas, not sure though. For a year I did 2 jobs to pay for it, both jobs where I met a lot of people and they were all waiting for me to come back, so I spent the last few days in a state of oblivion out of sheer fear of what was coming.

I expect Saturday's game will be The Doctor's preferred first team.

I think Dervite will be first choice rather than Wood personally and maybe even seen Hollands in there rather than Gower, but who knows.

I'll be surprised if Kermit plays more than an hour. That should give us a chance to look at Pigott.

One would hope so. But I thought that for the Portsmouth match, then the Dagenham match.

Not sure if that is your forecast for ICT or Bournemouth.

I suppose he might give Green and Gower another chance to force their way into the selection with outstanding displays against ICT. But CP will not start against Bournemouth without his little favourite, Pritchard (fast becoming a favourite of mine too after my initial reservations).

I agree that signing Wood when we are skint only makes sense for us (and for him) if he will displace Dervite. A bit hard on the Frenchman as he is still young for a CB and improved as the season went on, but maybe CP thinks Wood will be a more solid citizen if we are in a relegation fight.

Very worried about needing to rely on Kermorgant so much. If he gets injured or jaded as the season progresses we will be in real trouble. And I don't like to see him playing right at the front, especially when lightweights like Green and Harriott are not going to share the physical battering. Plus he is not quick enough to latch onto through balls.

We need a real centre-forward to play in front of Kermit and profit from his lay-offs and through passes. If we cannot sign a decent one I can see us signing some old warhorse like Hulse, re-signing Fuller, or signing some young lump from the lower tiers. Almost anyone better than no-one, just to share the physical stuff with Kermit. Definitely looks as CP is not prepared to rely on Pigott or Smith as neither were in the 22 against Dagenham.

Pigott came on for Kermit after 73 minutes.

Wood is a left footer and The Good Doctor said he liked a left foot right foot combination at centre back

Sorry Billy, I meant "against Portsmouth" which I assume was intended to be a more serious workout and test of League capabilities.

That would indeed be the clincher, but I always understood Dervite was left-footed and that is why we signed him. Am I wrong (again)?
