First blood went to us, though not much was spilled
On this the first Derby showdown,
Discipline and tactics had been well-drilled
From Adams on how to beat Town

We coped with whatever they threw at us
And saw only sporadic threats,
Which didn´t really cause too much of a fuss
To Ruddy alone in his nets

Murphy had really their only one chance
Which he ought to have got on goal,
Other than that we led them on a dance
Down there in their Portman Road Bowl

Grabban again was in just the right place
When Berra kindly played him on,
And he certainly should have at least got a brace
As the second half progressed along

But one nil´s a win, and will certainly do
And that makes it three out of four
Up with the runners does nicely thank you
Now carry on with a few more. OTBC

Excellent as usual RBF. We're certainly up there with the front runners and it would be fantastic if we were to be in a similar (or better) position come next May!!!!

Well I think Adams has taken to the job like a fish to water at the moment, JR, and I only hope he continues in the same vein. Plenty of good vibes around the place amongst players and staff alike, can only be a good sign for the future. <ok>

Hi skald bor, that grin ain't a Cheshire Cat but the adornment on my fissog ! Well on course to our haven but the captain needs to keep his crew focused to our objective.

Have the feeling Chris Martin will bite us in the arse, allowing him a free transfer was the Sale of the Century !!!

Regards to Muttley.

Saw the title "first blood" and was surprised there was no mention of Rambo. Are you losing your grip RBF? Only joking. Adams. I have this feeling g we have unearthed a manager with great potential. He is obviously very intelligent, plus a Canary devotee, but the speed at which he is learning the job is very promising. I feel a lot more confident about the future than I did three months ago. Even Bassong probably knows who he is now.

Martin is playing like a man with a point to prove NORKIE excellent again yesterday.

NORKIE , personally I think for both parties, we made exactly the right choice with Chris Martin, his place here had become untenable, he needed pastures new, the fact that he actually made something of himself is as much testimony to the change as to himself. Had he stayed with us, I doubt very much whether we would have got anywhere near as much out of him. That´s life!

Skald bor, the art of being a football manager is getting the best out of his players. Hughton failed in Martin's respect but to release him for nothing beggars belief. Martin's problem he fell foul of the old saying "Give a dog a bad name." He falls in the same category as Becchio: Not wanted on voyage.

His pastures new has certainly improved his standing on the football scene. He won't need motivating when we play the Rams.
