Dai, if we got 22 pts from 9 games I would be more than happy to buy you a couple of pints and throw in a packet of crisps. I may even settle for a point at Cardiff on the 3rd Nov - but then again maybe not

So if we had 18 points after 10 games we will have made a blistering start. If we can achieve such a great start I am more confident than ever that we have a squad capable of maintaining consistent standards and not tailing off at the end of the season (I'd like 55+ points).....the Europa is my only source of doubt, who knows how that will pan out. Would like to think we can play reserve/youth sides in the domestic cups and be strong in the Prem and Europa but we are in unchartered waters for Swansea City. Will be fun finding out mind!

What happened to Fortress Liberty - Liverpool, West Ham, Sunderland, - 3 points each Manure and Arsenal 1 point each Must beat Palace and pick up something at Saints and West Brom maybe 4pts from the two So 17 points for me
Our defence is the same as last season though, so I don't expect a massive difference in our results . We will still concede soft goals from set piece play that will undo all the good work done by the forwards. Have a look at the season review dvd to see where the team needs to improve. I suspect we will get around 14 pts which will be absolutely fantastic. I feel we are getting a bit over confident in our team, that's hard for me having not played a competitive game yet, Thursday will tell us a lot about the team but only after 10 prem games we will see if the new players are the vollocks
But we now have more guts in midfield with the likes of Shelvey and Canas who will stop so many attacks getting to the point where they reach our defence, we all know that Ki and JDG didn't like a tackle, and Leon could be suspect at times, so players were allowed to keep running forward.
Which part of "set piece play" did you not understand ? I understand what your saying regarding the new midfielders but one thing we have been good at is not conceding dangerous free kicks, I think early on its clear to see Canas will be taking no prisoners when it comes to tackling so our set piece count could actually go up, which will be a bad thing for us, just look at the highlights of the reading game to see certain flaws are still there, I accept we will never be perfect in this area though and our team is what it is
I go for 14 points, not counting EL-games (4-6 games I suppose); and when does the League cup start?
