I'm hoping that we will be on target for my predictions with 11 points after the game today, but now think I was being a bit naïve. Got excited and formed the idea that we would be better than last season (with new purchases and a full preseason for Mauricio) without considering that other teams may have been doing the same. Also looked at the quality of the opposition without considering the delightful unpredictability of football.

Well you never know. If we go in at HT 0-0 like we did at Anfield then we could get something out of the match.

I think we can get a point at Old Trafford. We were praised a lot last year when we went there, although I think we were slightly overpraised as Man Utd sat back after they took the lead and we didn't have any proper chances (apart from Jay's lucky goal), just a lot of possession. Moyes' team looks inconsistent and don't think they'll get top 4 this season. Not that he's doing badly, Ferguson just got everything out of his players.
This season looks like anyone can beat anyone...no reason for us not to beat ManU (though we should probably have played them now, before Moyes tightens them up...what was their defence doing?). ManU are in transition...they weren't that good last season...they need to gives Moyes time.
We haven't played well at all really, so hopefully there is more to come. However, being a glass half empty type it is annoying that Sunderland have only 1 point (from us), Norwich have only won once (against us) West Ham are right near the bottom as well having managed to get a point from us.
We could easily have 5 more points from those games putting us top.
Just looking at the points and the other stats though, brilliant.
At this rate we'll end up with more clean sheets than the 20 we kept in the Championship season. Not being a betting man, what are the odds of that?
