Wasn't there talk of Lucas to Italy? I'd prefer to lose Allen given the choice
I think he was very close to joining in January but the deal was pulled.
Not sure if Inter are interested anymore since they signed Kondogbia.

The happiness didn't last long JimmyI agree about the numbers being important but what you know you'll get from Milner is 100% every game. Let's just say we've had less deserving candidates than Milner wearing it over the last 10-15 years. Anyway, I doubt Firmino will care will he?

I seem to remember a Napoli link too, when Rafa was still there obv.I think he was very close to joining in January but the deal was pulled.

Number eleven on the other hand...
Mark Walters, Jamie Redknapp, Vladimir Smicer, Robbie Fowler, Mark Gonzalez, Yossi Benayoun, Alert Riera, Maxi Rodriguez and Oussama Assaidi.
...there are a few stinkers in there!

If there's one thing Riera never was it was alert![]()

9 Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Nicolas Anelka, El Hadji Diouf, Djibril Cissé, Fernando Torres, Andy Carroll, Iago Aspas, Rickie Lambert
We need to sign a rush/fowler/anelka or Torres type and not a diouf/carroll/aspas/lambert type![]()

So where does this leave Sterling now, are you going to have to sell him off cheap to get rid?
No ... the club won't sell him for less than the 50m imo. It just makes the clubs hand stronger in that they can tell sterling he's going to rot for 2 years.
He'll no doubt be on to Aidy telling him to plead with club's to pay the 50m
ifhe signs a new deal great cos he still won't be here in 4 years. he is toast. sign now and be sold in january... no worries.
Since PL numbers began; Nigel Clough, Steve McManaman, Vladimir Smicer, Harry Kewell, Robbie Keane and Luis Suarez. Personally, I think James Milner fits into the list fairly well.
