What am I missing? Why are there fireworks for the last few nights?

I think if the fireworks are North Hull OPE area they will be for a young lad that died last year.

Ah, right. It's difficult to separate them from the cars that seem set to do gunshot type backfires.

Another law that seems to be unenforceable

Buying fireworks
You can only buy fireworks (including sparklers) from registered sellers for private use on these dates:

  • 15 October to 10 November
  • 26 to 31 December
  • 3 days before Diwali and Chinese New Year
At other times you can only buy fireworks from licensed shops.

You can be fined up to £5,000 and imprisoned for up to 6 months for selling or using fireworks illegally. You could also get an on-the-spot fine of £90.

You can set them off whenever you like though, inside certain hours of the day.

That's good. Remember when I used to see him round the Town although that was quite a while ago. Didn't he used to split his time between 'Ull and one of the villages?
