Still cannot get over Chelsea being allowed to sell their own group two hotels for £75m and it being allowed to count towards PSR.

But it's not corrupt, I tell ye.

And their womens team

AND A ****ING CAR PARK!

Literally the most corrupt BS I've ever seen - I bet you if we sold a brick to PIF there would be outrage and we'd be relegated to league 2

I don't know the price of the hotels or if it was a reasonable price (not that they should have been allowed to do that anyway) but IIRC the price for the womens team was £159M which to say it was exhorbitant would be like suggesting Chippy is a workaholic and that Fat Boy was slimmer of the year so far off the mark was it.

£159m for their women's team? I get they bought their stadium but Kingsmeadow (where AFC Wimbledon use to play) was worth about £2m when they bought it and then the squad is worth about £3-4m on top of that, so where does the rest of the value come from?

Surely that sets a precedent right? If Chelsea's women's team are worth £159 MILLION then what is Newcastle's Womens team worth? Lets just sell it to Black and White Co for £100m and bank the money for the men's team.

I cant fathom why nobody questions it.

There's no reason why a club can't sell anything. Newcastle fans shouldn't be beating drums to close those opportunities either.

Yes we should.

If rules exist then everyone should comply with them. Those not complying should be penalised.

The rules weren't broken that's the point I'm making. If you're a club trying to find ways to increase revenue you don't want any more avenues being blocked just because another club found one.

Yes, they were broken. The PL just chose to pretend that they weren’t.

Related party in excess of £1M and inflated price. Love to know the PL’s explanation as to how the sale of the womens team didn’t breach the rules.

Obviously they weren't broken... Chelsea found a loop hole.

Hopefully Newcastle can find one or the same one one day.

I agree with this. It’s a direct related party and it’s inflated by a significant amount. They are valued at more than half our takeover cost of an established English premier league side.

It’s blatent cheating.

It's complete madness that the biggest headline during the January transfer window is that no club breached PSR. It's why the PL's days are numbered.

It's no longer entertaining or fun. The top clubs will no longer be able to sign the best players given the restrictions. The PL has caused its own downfall.
