Got to say it has taken a few years but we are starting to look like a solid decent team . McLaren for me has always been a decent coach, if not always the best manager . He can take a footballer and make him a better player , which is what he seems to be doing with us at present and exactly what we needed this season.
The biggest thing I like is the fact if something doesn’t work he will address it . Whether that be personnel or formation . Just as a comparison how long did olly persist with the 3 at the back ? Most fans could see that didn’t work but we sat and watched it for first 60 mins of most games last season , see it changed after we went behind, them more of the same at 3pm the following Saturday .
Don’t get me wrong , I’ll be happy once we reach that 50 point mark as this league is so unpredictable. But the fact we keep clean sheets and create chances , also with a lot of luck , who knows maybe top 10 beckons .
