  • Yes. Moreno and Manquillo

  • No. We still haven't replaced them.

Said few days ago is like to see Lovren n Sakho at CB with Moreno and Flanno/Manno at RB. Nice young full backs and youngish CBs could be a settled back 4 for 5 or 6 years.

So this is why BR spent all summer chasing him ... and credit to the committee for negotiating a great deal for him. £12m is a bargain.

Even against Man City, I thought he was our best defender bar that critical mistake.

Still has a long way to go but very encouraging signs.

Manquillo is a very solid defender as well - we finally have two full backs who can actually defend. And I disagree with Gez - Flanno shouldn't get a look in if Manquillo is consistent.
 
Can I just point out that at this stage last season we were all singing Kolo Toure's praises after a very solid start to the season...<whistle>

I don't think for one second that Moreno will take the same path but lets give the lad a chance to settle before putting him on a pedestal eh? And yes, that goes for all new signings including Mario Balo-****ing-telli <laugh>

Exactly. Players can have great starts and turn out to be poor or vice-versa. Whatever the start, we should give them time to see what happens.
