He knows the FBI, the ones who found him out for the corrupt **** he is, are based in the USA, right?

Sounds like the sore loser is the one from Switzerland.

    Has anyone else seen this?

    http://talksport.com/football/fifa-...-vote-began-reveals-sepp-blatter-151028172188

Suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter has revealed there was an agreement in place for the 2018 World Cup to go to Russia even before the vote took place.

The disgraced football chief has told Russian news agency TASS that the tournament was always lined up to go to Russia with the 2022 World Cup to be held in the USA - until Michel Platini decided to throw his weight behind Qatar’s bid for the tournament.

the 79-year-old's comments will spark further controversy over World Cup bidding - England, Spain/Portugal and Belgium/Holland spent tens of millions of pounds on bidding against Russia.

Blatter did not expand on who exactly had "agreed" for Russia to be hosts, but claimed the crisis in FIFA had been prompted by England and the USA being "bad losers" as a result of their World Cup bid failures.

The Swiss told TASS: "In 2010 we had a discussion of the World Cup and then we went to a double decision. For the World Cups it was agreed that we go to Russia because it's never been in Russia, eastern Europe, and for 2022 we go back to America. And so we will have the World Cup in the two biggest political powers.

"And everything was good until the moment when [French president Nicolas] Sarkozy came in a meeting with the crown prince of Qatar, who is now the ruler of Qatar. And at a lunch afterwards with Mr Platini he said it would be good to go to Qatar. And this has changed all pattern.

"There was an election by secret ballot. Four votes from Europe went away from the USA and so the result was 14 to eight. If you put the four votes, it would have been 12 to 10. If the USA was given the World Cup, we would only speak about the wonderful World Cup 2018 in Russia and we would not speak about any problems at FIFA."

Blatter, who is facing criminal proceedings in relation to a £1.3million payment made to Platini in 2011 and over TV rights deals sold to Jack Warner, said there was no possibility that Russia would lose the World Cup.

He added: "No, you will never lose the World Cup. It has been anchored in FIFA. There will be no change in the World Cup."

Asked about English criticism, Blatter replied: "Bad losers. In Great Britain they have made this beautiful game, they have introduced fair play. But there was only one vote going for England. They were eliminated in the first round. Nobody wanted to have England."

Meanwhile, Blatter also said the FIFA ethics committee decision to provisionally suspend himself and Platini and secretary general Jerome Valcke was "total nonsense".

The man's a ****ing ****. The biggest ****. Somebody ****ing shoot him in the head please.

Also, strip Russia of the World Cup if true.

Hopefully that will piss the committee right off him.

I love how he acts as if awarding the tournaments beforehand is perfectly fine, and only complains when Platini gets involved.

    What a ****ing ****.

Decisions are made before votes, senior political leaders involved, money swilling around, but that would have been fine had us and the USA not been bad losers. Whatever happens it will be a very long time before GB sees another WC. FIFA / UEFA should be totally disbanded, international football suspended for two years (minimum) and the game should be totally rebuilt.

The problem is corruption runs through the game. I would wager there are hundreds of national FA officials all over the world on the take.

As I've posted previously, huge amounts of money and human beings is not a good mix for honest and ethical behaviour.

Agreed, which is why, on other threads, I have called for a total review and restructuring of the English FA - I first called for it years ago.

Who are they accountable to, other than each other and FIFA?

    And there lies the problem.

More nonsense from the old fool...

In a wide-ranging Q&A with Tass, the suspended Fifa president also launched a scathing attack on Michel Platini, Uefa and the European media in general who, he claimed, made a concerted effort to discredit him.

I became the primary target of the attack because since three years already, and specifically after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Uefa did not want me as the president. It was a conducted attack on the Fifa president.

Blatter, being Blatter, also said a whole host of truly bizarre things:

Fifa is so well organised that even big opponents in Germany have to say that Fifa is better organised than the German football.

He also appeared to claim that the Fifa president needed more power over who those who serve under him:

All other members are elected by their Confederations. So, therefore, I am the boss of the government that has not been elected by me.

He seems a little confused about exactly what Fifa is, explaining:

You cannot destroy Fifa. Fifa is not the Swiss bank. Fifa is not a commercial company.

    And then saying later:

Since I became president of Fifa, we have made Fifa a big commercial company. And this naturally provokes envy and jealousy.

Blatter took aim at those in the Ethics Committee for suspending him:

This is not justice. I put these people into the office, where they are now in the Ethics Committee and they don’t even have the courage to listen to the secretary general, Platini or me.

    And the Swiss media:

I was bitterly affected by how I was abandoned by my own country. The Swiss media got very aggressive against me because I am from a very small canton, Valais, in the mountains and some of the people here think those coming from the mountains eat with their fingers. Primitive.

But he did express his love for Vladimir Putin:

Vladimir Vladimirovich is a good friend of Joseph Josephovich. You know what I like in Russia also is that in difficult situations I still have the full support of President Putin. This is good. And I support him in all discussions, in all situations.

And for Russia in general, really:

My first time when I visited Russia was in 1973. There was the Universiade [sports competition] in Moscow. And later on I came to the Olympics in 1980 and we were received in the Kremlin by Mr. Brezhnev. We had the impression that he was moving on roller-skates.

    And the Uefa secretary general:

There are people in Europe, especially in the northern parts, who say that if they bring Infantino, that’s the end of Europe. Most of the national associations don’t like Infantino. But all I should like him for is because he’s coming from the village where I’m coming from.

And he finished off with a warning for football fans everywhere:

If God is with me, I do hope that I’ll be back as president of Fifa.

Well blow me down with a feather. A Millwall fan could have told us that.

Greg Dyke might be a cock, but he has just made one good point.

Everyone was praising the main sponsors for calling for change at FIFA, but they only account for 12% of FIFA's income, the broadcasters account for 43% and have so far said nothing.

So we can get back the money we spent on a (previously decided) bid to win the hosting of the World Cup?

No chance. What gets to me is all the sucking up we did to to get the World Cup over here. We're perceived as whinging, bad losers. I reckon it'll be over 20 years before we see the World Cup played here again.

Apparently Russia were already down to get 2018 and USA were down to get the 2022 world cup but according to Blatter in an interview in Russia Platini under pressure from the French Government supported Qatar, so they got it instead. Sounds like Blatter is wanting to take a few down with him.

FIFA have in the past suspended some countries from competition if it's deemed there has been too much political influence in the running of that
    nation's FA.

Yet, FIFA was directly influenced by French President Sarkozy (on behalf of the Crown Prince of Qatar) in the 2022 decision. If that's not political influence
then I don't know what is.

As we all know there's no such thing as a free lunch so no doubt Sarkozy would have been paid by the Qataris for his support as well.

    Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedy bastards,

I do hope us, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, USA, Australia, Japan and South Korea ask for the tens of millions each nation put into their respective World Cup bids back.

If the response from FIFA is no, I hope they all sue.
