My memories of that 'friendly' against Chelsea was when a newly signed Leroy Griffiths skinned a certain Marcel Desailly on the flank and thumped the ball into the net from well over 30 metres out. Sadly it was a bit of a false dawn given what happened for the rest of his time with us.
