Lake of strike force will hurt us. Still there's never been a better time for us to blood some of the nippers.

We win all 4, the league decide to introduce a new points system for the last 4 games and we are awarded 2026 points and we win the league on goal difference. We than go on to win 4 trophies next season.

Either that or we just disappear without trace and start again next year when Lallana goes to Liverpool; Schneiderlin and Rodriguez go to Arsenal; Shaw and Chambers go to Chelsea; Lovren and Fonte sign for Palace. We buy a striker from a Conference team and announce that Gazza is the next Argentinian international goalkeeper. We end next season getting relegated and bring back 'Arry to ensure our rapid relegation to the Evo Stick league. We go into administration and get bought out by Pompey.

OK that seems to take care of the parameters. I'll settle for 2 wins (please let one be Everton - what is it about that lot?) and selling no-one, but that's just me playing safe as ever.

0 wins, 0 draws, 4 losses.

I think this is entirely possible as our season peters out (whoever Peter is). It's a pity the Everton and United games have come at this stage with nothing riding on them. We are unlikely to apply the same sort of intensity we gave to games earlier in the season.

Playing a potential top 4 side (Everton), and one of the world's most successful clubs (M Utd) in front of your own supporters ought to be motivation enough for the players. and we can beat the other two because they're not very good. We petered out last season, no reason why we should do so again given the measurable improvement we've shown.

We might struggle for goals due to Jay's absence, there is absolutely no excuse to struggle for commitment.

Obviously, I hope you are are right not least because I've paid for these games. They should be a good, exciting spectacle in their own right because of the reasons you mention but I have my doubts.

Overall though, I've loved this season.
