Anyone fancy changing their vote?

Actually mid table mediocrity sounds fine for this team in this league.

I had us down for relegation, and though I don’t think that any more I’m not quite ready to change my vote.

I'm still confident in my original opinion of mid-table mediocrity, only because our good run in October has saved us.

I forget how I voted, probably playoffs given my natural optimism. I still think the squad is good enough to get top 6, but whether the manager is remains to be seen.

My prediction of 20th may prove right. We've been a curate's egg so far but our defence gives me the shivers at times. I just wish JS would play to our strengths instead of endless tinkering. We have a full strength squad so there's no excuses now...

Being a QPR fan, it’s wouldn’t be the same without a ‘Squeaky Bum Time’ to stress us out, lose sleep, make an extra visit to the bottle shop, get your GP to increase dosage on a range of tablets, with mental health is peaking & a good wife displaying extra sensitivity & care to this R’rrrssss supporter, l voted SBT.

If the squad is good enough, selection shouldn’t be a big issue.

But..we don’t have a keeper who inspires confidence. We don’t seem to have a left back we trust. We play Cook at CB when Morrison and Mbengue are obvious first picks but Mbengue is going to be suspended for half the season. Varane is possibly the best player in the squad but seems to have lost his mojo. Haydn (who I rate) would be the obvious replacement but is he physically up to it? Field and Dunne are club heroes but really not very good. Chair actually doesn’t deliver very much. And, dare I say it, never has (especially in the last 3 years). Kone, who I really like, appears knackered. Poku a mystery until we see him in more than a cameo. Smyth is Smyth, exciting but limited. Saito should be a starter if he is fit, always. And Burrell is my player of the season so far.

I think it’s quite tricky picking a team from this squad. And the squad is nowhere near top six quality, in my opinion (though I’d have to be interested enough in other clubs’ squads to be sure), unless some kind of consistency can be added.

Bah, humbug!

I'm not really sure how our squad compares to others (reading Clive's report it seems Ipswich have spent enough on theirs to buy ours five times over), but this is the best we've had for many seasons, I reckon. I don't think Stephan's selections are helping.

So where did your predictions end up? Over 20 of us went for mid-table...we were never really in trouble after the Coventry thrashing and the change of tactics, even though some of the football was dire

16th - Any higher and Stephan gets a Statue.

Got your mould out ready for casting? Will it be bronze?

Oh you of little faith, 15th this year

Congrats, we have a winner!!

I’m pretty sure I’m in a tiny minority but I enjoyed this season, much better than I expected (relegation) saw a couple of good new players, a complete new player in Madsen when he was fit for which I credit Stephan. And we played a better, though still not great, version of football than under Cifuentes, in my view.

Mid table is our best result, if l’m honest.
No stress of going down, no stress of going up & hiring mercenaries.
We have a little rant now & then about the current situation but to finish around halfway is ok by me.
Hope we can do it again next season.

We’ll be doing it again forever. Maybe a relegation and Wembley day out for the EFL Trophy final if we’re lucky.
