Now that the dust has settled
And weôve just about got our breath back,
Results from that Easter Monday
Have helped reduce the chasing pack,
So that itôs now three of us, really
Or at a stretch, four, for two spots,
Those fancied from Rangers and Cardiff
And Swans, and our own little lot,
Who like one of those irritating
Summer colds with a nasty old cough,
Just seem to stick around for ever
And are impossible to shake off,
And however much they may look down
Their noses, theyôre likely to see
Us hovering there ÃÂn their shadow
PLôs green and yellow army,
Itôs made for an exciting finish
Which none in their wildest of dreams,
Could have expected or even hoped for
Especially for one of those teams,
And now that the pressure is building
Itôs really interesting to see,
Just where the first cracks are appearing
Amongst those table-topping three,
Not surprisingly, those who expected
To be there, are showing some signs,
Of stress, and some slight agitation
When we donôt just stick to our lines,
So heaven forbid, if by some means
We managed to go all the way,
And spoil the party for the others
Whatever then would D. Jones say,
In whatever sport weôre discussing
The underdog would get my vote,
So ôCome on you Yellowsô, no slacking
