I want lots of scientists in it. All fcking about for no reason and getting impregnated with baby aliens. That would make it 9.5
 
Nothing to do with Ridley Scott, so that's a bonus. iirc it's an Aliens prequel, you just gotta ignore the scene in Aliens with Newt and her family.

A prequel of alien or a prequel of prometheus?
 
Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are set before the original Alien, serving as prequels. Following Alien, its sequels (up until Alien: Romulus, that is) all unfold in chronological order. Much like the hugely popular survival horror game Alien: Isolation, Alien: Romulus takes place between Alien and its sequel, Aliens.

So its not a prequel at all

It's the story between Alien and Aliens, set on the same planet where they find the Alien in the original film and in Aliens where the company create the colony with the little girl and her family.

Im gonna guess its at the same time as newts story just a different part of the planet/colony.

If it's set between Alien and Aliens, and is on the same planet, which only had one settlement, logically it can't be anything other than a prequel.
Of course logic and reason left the building decades ago as far as the alien franchise is concerned.
