Perhaps his stuff is just that wee bit complicated for you mate. Too ground breaking. Perhaps you just don't get it.

As for the planet of the apes reboot that you don't seem to like and feel the sequels are "unimaginative pish" I really don't understand your claims there. The third film is arguably the best of the lot. Perhaps their just a wee bit complicated for you mate. Too ground breaking. Perhaps you just don't get them.

Most other people do though so...

That's possibly the most stupid thing you've come out with, considering you don't understand them either yet still claim they're genius <laugh>

Films like Elephant Man and Blue Velvet are very good. Are they genius... no. Aspects of films such as Eraserhead, visually and in terms of the use of sound are very good - unnerving in fact. Are they genius... no.

As for the Apes, I doubt you've watched any of the sequels more than once, possibly twice ffs <laugh>

The 3rd is pure twaddle. The 1st is original in every way, it's a very clever plot, it covers everything, and is by far the best.

So in short, perhaps you're talking utter pish.... as usual.

Once again HTH.

Very good, horrible story with a touch of miracle.

7/10

Well DUH!

I don't understand "them"!

I didn't claim to understand "them"

I watched "them" and appreciated "them" for what they are, excellent movies.

A debut film that you say is visually very good and in terms of sound "unnerving" isn't the work of genius in your opinion?

Has there been a director to move you so with their directorial debut?

As for the Apes, there is a definite arc in the story through one to three. The third is by far the best film of those. It's reviews and scores on all the film sites are testament to that.

I told you that the first 3 Ape films in this reboot all scored over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes so mibbe it's not me that's talking utter pìsh, it's you.

But at least you're consistent eh.

The Snowman 7.9/10

On Prime.

Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Ferguson.

Starts off really well, has the feel of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but not as good.

Edgy scandinavian serial killer story let down a bit by the ending but still well worth a watch.
