And plus the name “City of God”, pfft sounds like a religious musical.
personally thought it was more reminiscent of Godspell due to the similarity in having a more serious examination of the nature of faith than JCS .

Think along the lines of Sin City but set in Japan with the good guys fighting against a war lord.
Unexpected cast and decent story line.
